Future Trends in Robotics

 

Introduction

The big challenges following the digitization of industry are autonomy, the complex use of artificial intelligence for real engineering tasks, and the validation of human-centered production and sustainability as fundamental requirements in the design and operation of production systems connected by multiple fibers. The centerfocuses on the following activities: (1) autonomous robots that are able to independently plan movements and make decisions reflecting on the phenomena observed in their environment; (2) such systems to cooperate with people and work as a team; (3) digital twin models of the above systems supplemented with stochastic methods of industrial data analysis and machine learning; (4) energy efficient robotics.

Objective

‘Future Technologies in Robotics’ provides a world-class open environment and expert background to industry and education to research and solve issues related to autonomous, intelligent and sustainable robotics.
