The BME Industry 4.0 Technology Centre is an innovative research and development centre within the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), focusing on the research, development and demonstration of digitalisation and Industry 4.0 technologies and applications. The aim of the Centre is to help Hungarian enterprises to apply Industry 4.0 technologies more efficiently and thus improve their competitiveness. The BME Industry 4.0 Technology Centre’s main task is to contribute to the digital transformation of industry through its research, development, education and consultancy activities, and its main target groups are small and medium-sized enterprises that want to improve the efficiency and productivity of their industrial processes, as well as professionals and students interested in Industry 4.0 technologies. The BME Industry 4.0 Centre participates in the Data-EDIH project, which actively promotes the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises and public sector organisations in Hungary.
The aim of the Centre is to help Hungarian enterprises to apply Industry 4.0 technologies more efficiently and thus improve their competitiveness. The application of Industry 4.0 technologies enables automation, robotisation and data-driven enterprise operations that can help to increase the efficiency and productivity of industrial processes.
